We are from Alberta and come to this place often. We have paid $300 plus to stay at the best western in town before for it not to be half as nice, this place is a simple and well priced cozy getaway from home with an amazing pool with mountain views. In regards to last review, we stayed last night and once again nothing bad to say about the place or the staff. Nor were they incoherent or ever disrespectful. Rooms are quiet and tidy. Even though there is no a/c the pool makes up for it. Truly amazing view and Wendy always makes us feel welcome. Will be continuing to stay here on any trip we take to Radium.

Rooms were a bit small. Older hotel but lots of tlc has been put into the hotel. Owners are super friendly band will do whatever to help you. Good pool and hot tub.

Not only was the Motel Tyrol the friendliest and most comfortable stay of our trip, but when we had some mechanical trouble with my wifes motorcycle, the owner opened his garage up to me and let me have free use of his tools to get us on the road again. We wont soon be forgetting our stay there in Radium or the trust and kindness we were shown. I can not recommend this place highly enough.

I wish I could give a 0 star rating as this place is absolutely terrible. The customer service staff that other reviewers have liked are also terrible. The man in charge (george) and his son were very confrontational and I was swore at and had to deal with both of them being totally drunk ( as was wendie btw) and incoherent. I was tired of being mistreated so I asked for a refund and at that moment the son of the caretakers tried to engage in a physical confrontation with me haha. Anyway, terrible place with no AC and not safe at all for families with children as the staff are a bunch of drunkards that act nice but are completely nasty human beings. Pool is tiny and over crowded. Rooms are disgusting and I would never sleep under the covers. Beware.

We were booked to stay there and we phoned to cancel due to the forest fires in the area as we decided to head home as we were on bikes. We called them and the lady was rude when I tried to explain our situation and she went on and on how us cancelling was hurting them and how she could of booked the rooms to others. She was very disrespectful towards me as she wouldn't even let me speak. I don't appreciate people who treat others like this. If one is going to be in this kind of business, then you best treat people better as comments like this are not good. I just want to add that when I first booked she was very friendly and that should not change due to circumstances.
