I usually love this restaurant, since my family and I travel to Radium annually with this being one of my favourite locations to eat. We usually get served good food and staff, but a couple of days ago was not a good experience. The waitress was very snobby and rude, and never refilled our waters or asked us how the food was. I ordered spatzle which tasted fine, but upon closer evaluation I noticed bugs on the vegetables! I told the waitress and I never got an apology. It took around twenty minutes to get another order, and when she gave it to me she didnt apologize again. After the meal, there was no compensation for the food, no 50% off, not even a coupon. I am usually impressed by this restaurant but not this past time.
Lively place with good comfort food. We all had schnitzel and it was delicious. The side of veggies was really uncreative and bland - just steamed, no seasoning, with the exception of the red cabbage, which was good. My son ordered from the kids' menu and the portion size was the same as the adult menu, so it's a really good value! The atmosphere was good and the service was really friendly. The decor was a bit confused, a jumble of nautical, old-style English and a smattering of Austrian. But all in all, a good experience and would go again.
Amazing place for schnitzel and Sptzle. If you love some good Austrian/German food this is the place. The baked brie as an appetizer is a definite must. The staff was friendly but busy for a Monday night. If you are in town for a couple of days this should be a stop for dinner.
Great authentic (as far as I can tell) Austrian food. Service was prompt and friendly as well. The cheesecake desert was excellent. A big step above the generic cheesecake you get at most places. Cheese cake people will know what I mean.
